I recently enrolled my 9 year old daughter at Skillz Youth Facility at the Quay Health Club in the Madinat Jumeirah. I must say that this is a fantastic concept especially with so many children in Dubai living sedentary lifestyles and the young obesity rates being ever so high here. Skillz is an excellent concept and facility with great staff. The establishment is doing a huge favour to our society and to the future young generation.

The boards can be linked to make an artificial ‘ice rink’ or lengthened to create a slider track. Dance Mats

ZigZag’s XerDance is the most advanced multi-player dance system available and it has just arrived at the Skillz Youth Facility! Teamed with ‘Pump It Up’ software, the new wireless arcade-style dance platform can run three levels of difficulty simultaneously, so that all dancers feel comfortable with their ability and have fun at the same time! The mats sense each users dance level and adjusts the difficulty rating to suit each player mid-game. They also feature a variety of fitness workouts including fat burner, interval and steady and allow dancers to join the game at any time.

Dance steps are projected onto a blank wall or displayed on plasma screens alongside a leadership board with instant feedback for each platform.

T Wall

Discover the unique concept of optimizing movement, fitness and reaction with our new T-wall. T-wall provides an amazing challenge incorporating: movement, fitness and reaction. The T-Wall uses a special Touch sensor to measure your reaction time across a surface. The LED signals which button to Touch in a random sequence and speed. Act and react as quick you as you can to Touch the light out. As soon as you hit a button another turns on..! One challenge is to get the most Touch’s in the set amount of time. Great for all ages, all abilities and nearly any environment where you want to have FUN the T-wall will add to the Skillz Youth Facility challenge and can be showcased through our Skillz Mobile program.
